April 9, 1972 - Lai Khe, A column of ARVN paratroopers trudges along Highway 13 here in this photo, en route to reinforce besieged South Vietnamese forces at An Loc, district capital of Binh Long Province, some 60 miles north of Saigon. Attempting to head off a threat to Saigon, the Thieu government April 9th switched the full 21st Division from normal operations in the U Minh Forest to An Loc, where fighting seems to be centered.
